Rihokora #9: The Recent state of Sayashi

The recent state of Sayashi (近況など…さやしいろいろ)

or… what’s going on, and on, and on with Sayashi? (いろいろ=various)

Thinking of a title is getting harder.. lol

As the days rush by, in terms of time and feelings, I can finally take a breath.

However, at this time, I am returning to the stage quickly, and I am grateful and happy to deliver my work to you.

Being on the stage, I want to cheer you up, but at the same time, my work has energized me as well. Once again, entertainment is a wonderful thing. I feel it on my skin.

It may not be food, clothing, or shelter, but to me it is essential!

For 2 days, beginning today, “35 mm: A Musical Exhibition” will be performed at TBS Akasaka ACT Theater. I’m writing this right after the final rehearsal.

It is a musical, but there is no script, and the production is similar to that of a concert. It’s something completely new.

I’ve been given the opportunity to do something new that I have never done before. It’s a work that allows me to express myself. Hmm, how can I explain it? I want you to see me on the stage, but even if I wasn’t in this musical, I would like those that support me to watch this. It is a work I would recommend.

Both the performances and the production are excellent.

As in Kuro Sekai, I (Sayashi) am the youngest in the cast, and again, the performances of my senpai are amazing. They are of course talented, but it’s also very exciting. That’s what entertainment is all about, right?

I am also inspired and full of energy. We will brush up our performances even more before the show so that we can deliver it to you. We are working on it.

Although, the rehearsal period was fairly short, I had the pleasure to talk to the cast, and discuss singing techniques and other topics.

I am learning every day. Right now, I am getting a lot of advice, and I am trying to find my own expression. More of my own interpretations and ideas too. I want to be able to get them out, and gain experience. That’s what I felt this time during practice.

And with all my co-stars, I would like to build up my strength, so that we can work together again.

There are 4 performances in 2 days, beginning today. There is also a livestream and I would be happy if you watched it.

I am glad to have come across this wonderful piece. I hope I will be able to perform it again someday. LOL

And one more thing. My fan club “Sayashiihitotachi” (Kind/small people) has opened, and we announced we will be holding a one-man-live-show next year!

Aspirations are taking shape. How blessed am I?

The Sayashi that you all want to see, and the new Sayashi that I want to show you, all in one show. With the help of everyone around me, I will prepare and be ready! Please be there!

I will have more time for myself from now on. I will have to manage my time well, so that I can sing, dance, act and take lessons.

I have never been good at managing my time. Managers do an amazing job, don’t they? While they negotiate with all sorts of outsiders, and maintain relationships, I can work on my schedule.

I would like to hear about the work of various people.

See you again!
